Moving to college taught me how to allocate my time to different activities. Prior to college I lived with my parents, they woke me up each day and reminded me of everything I had to do outside of school. My father would remind me of what commitments I had to take care of. My dad would tell me if I had a doctors appointment after school or if I had an athletic event. My father was my calendar.
After moving into my dorm, I quickly realized that I needed to keep an agenda to remind myself of the activities that I had to attend, like seeing my doctor or getting a haircut. I began to plan out my week and what I wanted to accomplish each week.
Having an agenda allows me to care of all everything I need to do in a given week. I have learned to budget my time effectively so I can be efficient and be on top of my game.
