Lab 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lab 2 &#8211; Ian Moritz &#8211; Collecting #syra &#8211; Organizing Data<\/p>\n<p>Initially, I would like to believe most tweets would come from the West and Eastern Coasts of the United States, and maybe the middle-East, because these are the locations of the main media outlets discussing the issues in the world. This topic, along with other associated topics of the members in my group (#muslimban, #ISIS), have frequented the news for quite some time.\u00a0 The main debate has stemmed from media coverage because the problem is purely political, there are many views on what is happening. Judging by the map, the coordinates would be about 40<sup>o<\/sup>, -65<sup>o<\/sup>.\u00a0 My hometown, Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania would be at the 40<sup>o<\/sup>, -70<sup>o<\/sup> mark.<\/p>\n<p>15\/65,535=0.000228<\/p>\n<p>This means there was less than 1% of tweets with geolocations attached to them.\u00a0 This is actually ridiculously low a problem of such a scalable proportion.
