I grew up in a small ocean side community in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Living on The Cape has fostered my love of nature. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, beach walks, kayaking, swimming, and running outdoors. To keep busy at home I work as a life guard at the town of Barnstable beaches during the day and as a medical scribe in the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital at night.

When I’m not at home taking on the great out doors with my dog, Bruce, or working one of my jobs, I am attending school at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. At Trinity I study a wide range of liberal arts subjects from public policy and law to psychology.

Outside the class room I play on the soccer team and lacrosse team. Sports provide structure and discipline in my life that challenges me to grow as a competitor, a student, and a teammate. In addition to athletics, I joined the Trinity College Mock Trial team and the Movable Joints improv comedy troupe. Being involved in campus life and taking advantage of unique opportunities has helped me to create a strong network of connections and allowed me to discover and pursue new interests.

Trinity College Writing Center

At the end of the fall semester I was notified of my nomination to apply to be an associate at the Trinity College Writing Center.  I have always enjoyed writing and editing and I frequented the writing center during my first semester to seek help improving my own work.  Despite being a little apprehensive about adding…

Trinity Women’s Soccer

It is difficult for me to remember my life before soccer.  Just as millions of little girls do, I fell in love with the game at a young age and let it become a defining feature of who I am.  Over the years I have found other passions and explored other interests but playing soccer…

Emergency Center Medical Scribe

During the summer of 2015, I began working in the emergency center at Cape Cod Hospital.  The functional purpose of my job as a scribe is to streamline the process of ordering medical tests and discharge procedures so that doctors can be as efficient as possible and reduce patient wait times.  Cape Cod Hospital consistently…

Lifeguard

Working 9:00 to 5:00 under the hot summer sun on the beaches of Cape Cod; what a way to make a living.  Being a lifeguard for the Town of Barnstable, or T.O.B. as its known among employees, is in fact one of the best summer jobs you can have.  I often find myself sitting in…
