Even though you cited it, paraphrasing too closely is still plagiarism.<\/p>\n<p>Economist at New York University,\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 24px\">Sean Corcoran <\/span>studied the teacher evaluation systems in New York City and Houston.He concluded that the average margin of error of a NYC teacher was plus or minus 28 points (Ravitch 270).<\/p>\n<p>Example 4:\u00a0Properly paraphrase\u00a0from the original text by restating the author\u2019s ideas in different words and phrases, and include a citation to the original source.<\/p>\n<p>As asserted by Diana Ravitch, it is hard to differentiate between a the rankings of public school teachers because there is such a large margin of error in the calculations (Ravitch 270). This margin of error makes it difficult to assess a teachers real performance.<\/p>\n<p>Example 5:\u00a0Properly paraphrase\u00a0from the original text by restating the author\u2019s ideas in different words and phrases, add a direct quote, and include a citation to the original source.<\/p>\n<p>Assessing public school teachers is hard to do with today&#8217;s assessment tests.
