According to Sean Corcoran, an economist at NYU, &#8220;the average \u201cmargin of error\u201d of a New York City teacher was plus or minus 28 points&#8221; (Ravitch, 270). Thus it is difficult to accurately determine actual teacher influence on student, improved teacher performance, or margin of error.
