Analyzing hundreds of thousands of photos takes a lot of work, but Scott Smedley, associate professor of biology, isn’t doing it alone. With the help of citizen scientists from Trinity and around the world, Smedley and his team of colleagues and students have been identifying the patterns of local wildlife interacting with residential compost piles through their Wildlife CSI project. In August, the project was covered by WNPR. Today, Cool Green Science, the science blog of The Nature Conservancy, featured the initiative and invited readers to join the effort.
