What is visualisation training?
Visualisation training is the act of actively imagining what a task will look like before it occurs.
For example: You ask the participant to open the door in 2 minutes.
While the participant is performing the ongoing task you should ask them the following questions and record their responses:
- What will you see when the event occurs?
- If it is a visual cue, what colour will it be?
- What size will the event be?
- What will you hear when the event occurs?
- How will you feel when the event occurs?
- Do you have any specific thoughts about the event?
- Please imagine yourself performing the task.
