Samba Fest

The seventh annual Trinity Samba Fest was held on May 4, at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in Hartford. Headlined by Dinho Nascimento and the Orquestra de Berimbaus, Samba Fest also featured outstanding musicians from the Hartford area and students from Trinity College. “The rhythmic celebrations emerging from Brazilian, Trinidadian, and Puerto Rican musical expression represent the diversity of Greater Hartford’s rich cultural community,” says Eric Galm, associate professor of music at Trinity, who conceived and produces the event.
