Walsh \u201985 and Mary Casner Walsh Scholar Kelly Vaughan \u201917 is interviewed at Peter B\u2019s by a Fox 61 television news reporter.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A quick stop for coffee on campus took a bit longer on a day back in October, as fans of the comedy-drama television show <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em> packed into Peter B\u2019s Espresso caf\u00e9 to take part in a promotional event involving 200 coffee shops across the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Vaughan \u201917, a Peter B\u2019s manager and barista, said that Trinity\u2019s Peter B\u2019s was one of just two caf\u00e9s in Connecticut enlisted by Netflix to promote its\u00a0<em>Gilmore Girls<\/em>\u00a0revival miniseries,\u00a0<em>A Year in the Life<\/em>, by handing out 250 free cups of coffee, courtesy of Netflix. Vaughan and fellow baristas embraced the chance to turn Peter B\u2019s into Luke\u2019s Diner, the regular hangout of characters Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.<\/p>\n<p>Dressed in flannel shirts and backward baseball caps (just like Luke in <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em>), Peter B\u2019s staff served coffee in Luke\u2019s branded coffee cups and welcomed visitors who traveled from across the state, including from East Haven, Durham, and Clinton, as well as from Springfield, Massachusetts, to share in the experience. A reporter from Fox 61 stopped by to report on the event and to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fox61.com\/2016\/10\/05\/talk-fast-and-drink-coffee-gilmore-girls-cafes-pop-up-in-hartford\/\">interview Vaughan and other Trinity students<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Set mostly in the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow,\u00a0<em>Gilmore Girls<\/em>\u00a0ran for seven seasons between 2000 and 2007. Vaughan noted that she happened to have binge-watched all episodes of the show over the summer and quickly became a fan.
