Trinity Athlete Awarded as Top Player in Nation

Isabel Iwachiw, a senior goalie at Trinity College, received the Laura Hurd Award, given to the nation’s top Division III player, after leading the women’s ice hockey team to their first NCAA tournament. Northam Professor of History at Trinity, author, and American Historian of Ashkenazi Jewry, spoke to Trinity students as part of Holocaust Remembrance Day at Trinity College.  A group joined on the Cave Patio to reflect in a ceremony of candle lighting, poetry, and prayer.

Trinity College students joined others in one of the largest national fundraising and community service a-thons in the country by volunteering at local hunger and homelessness relief agencies inthe Hartford community.  Students prepared community gardens, cooked and served food, repaired and cleaned food banks, planted gardens in parks, and did manual construction.
