His current research examines how religion affects political behavior in the United States. From 2002-2005 Mr. Navarro-Rivera worked at the Center for Community Health Research at the Hispanic Health Council in Hartford, CT where he was in charge of data analysis and surveys and questionnaire design.<\/p>\n<p>His publications include chapters in <em>New Drugs on the Street: Changing Patterns of Illicit Consumption<\/em> (Haworth Press, 2005) and <em>Secularism &amp; Science in the 21st Century<\/em> (ISSSC, 2008) and articles in the <em>Journal of Ethnicity in Substance Abuse<\/em>, <em>Human Organization<\/em> and <em>Free Inquiry<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Navarro-Rivera is currently completing a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
