{"id":1939,"date":"2015-07-16T19:56:22","date_gmt":"2015-07-16T19:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/?p=1939"},"modified":"2015-07-16T19:56:22","modified_gmt":"2015-07-16T19:56:22","slug":"40-years-of-trinity-history-the-student-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/2015\/07\/16\/40-years-of-trinity-history-the-student-view\/","title":{"rendered":"40 years of Trinity History &#8212; the student view"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/files\/2015\/07\/Tripod-1968-2009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1940\" alt=\"Tripod 1968-2009\" src=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/files\/2015\/07\/Tripod-1968-2009-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/files\/2015\/07\/Tripod-1968-2009-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/watkinson\/files\/2015\/07\/Tripod-1968-2009-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>We recently received a gift from retired professor Frank Egan of six (6) boxes of old issues of the <em>Tripod<\/em> (going back to 1968), as well as random issues of some hitherto unknown (at least to us) Trinity student newspapers such as <em>The Trinity Observer<\/em> (1983-87), <em>The Trident<\/em> (1983), <em>The Trinity Questioner<\/em> (1984-85), <em>The Forum<\/em> (1986-87), and <em>The Other Voice<\/em> (1994).<\/p>\n<p>We also had about 10 boxes of old Tripods in the basement&#8211;and both collections were combined, and are shown here&#8211;each pile is a separate year of issues, from 1968-2009. We will be looking for ways to utilize these <strong>duplicate<\/strong> copies of the Tripod in the year ahead.
