Question [Paper due Tuesday, November 20]<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In Corkin (2002), on page 159, the author says: &#8220;Whether H.M. in fact has a sense of self is a matter for the reader to ponder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>OK. Take the suggestion and ponder the question. After you have pondered, write an essay to explain your conclusions about H.M.&#8217;s sense of self. Support your position (or positions) by evidence of what H.M. can and cannot do.<\/p>\n<p>Suggested length: 1200 &#8211; 1500 words<\/p>\n<p>As usual, please submit your paper as an attachment to an email (deposits to the Digital Dropbox on Blackboard also are acceptable). In addition, please name your file in the form &#8220;lastname_HM.doc&#8221; (those of you with the new version of Word need to save it down a level so that the extension on the end is indeed &#8220;.doc&#8221; and not &#8220;docx&#8221; ).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Extra Credit<\/strong> &#8212; I have been told that Suzanne Corkin is not flattered by how she is presented in the book, <em>Memory&#8217;s Ghost<\/em>.
