[Click on &#8220;Student Handbook&#8221; under the heading, &#8220;Campus Resources and Services.&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the Trinity College Student Integrity Contract, students are expected to abide by the highest standards of intellectual honesty in all academic exercises.\u00a0 Intellectual honesty assumes that students do their own work and that they credit properly those upon whose work and thought they draw.\u00a0 It is the responsibility of each student to make sure that he or she is fully aware of what constitutes intellectually honest work in every examination, quiz, paper, laboratory report, or other academic exercise submitted for evaluation in a course at Trinity College.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Examples of intellectual dishonesty include, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Multiple submission of the same or similar work without prior written permission of the instructor(s).\u00a0 Examples include:<\/p>\n<p>a.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Submitting the same work, or substantially the same work, for more than one course without the prior permission of all instructors involved.<\/p>\n<p>b.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Submitting the same work, or substantially the same work, as that submitted by another student without the prior permission of all instructors involved.<\/p>\n<p>c.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Submitting the same work, or substantially the same work, as was used in a previous course or at another school, without the prior permission of all instructors involved.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Unauthorized collaboration.\u00a0 Collaborating on any academic work without the prior permission of the instructor(s) is dishonest.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Unauthorized possession and\/or distribution of an examination.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Consultation of unauthorized materials during an examination.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Failure to comply with an instructor\u2019s specific instructions with respect to academic honesty.\u00a0 Students who are uncertain about the terms of academic integrity for any particular course or assignment should ask the instructor for explicit guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Falsification or misrepresentation of one\u2019s own academic record or that of anyone else.<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Falsification or misrepresentation of data, information, or quotations.<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Preparing work for another student.<\/p>\n<p>9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Use of another person\u2019s work.\u00a0 Examples include:<\/p>\n<p>a.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Copying from another student\u2019s exam or paper.<\/p>\n<p>b.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Submitting, as one\u2019s own, work that someone else did.<\/p>\n<p>c.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Plagiarism.\u00a0 (A discussion of plagiarism is found on pages 48-49 of the Student Handbook.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/wmace\/courses\/perception\/\" target=\"_blank\">Perception Syllabus<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INTELLECTUAL HONESTY POLICY &nbsp; (The Intellectual Honesty Policy and Procedures in Cases of Academic Dishonesty may be found on page 16 of the Student Handbook.)
