A huge congrats to my graduate student Jamie Shinskie who won the Best Student Poster Award for her hellbender research at the 2016 Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation meeting held in August at Green Mountain College in Vermont. Jamie also successfully defended her thesis, Assessing Land Cover and Its Influence on Eastern Hellbenders within the Susquehanna River Drainage of Pennsylvania, earning her MS degree from Bloomsburg University this September.
