New publication reveals pathway for generalist species range expansion and population increase

Ellie Tate (’21), Amber Pitt, Myles Little (’21), Joe Tavano, and Max Nickerson published research in the journal, Amphibia-Reptilia, that revealed the pathway in which a generalist species, the red-eared slider, expanded its range and increased its population as a result of habitat degradation and reduced competition.
