presents the 16th Annual Black and Latino Male Conference

hosted by Providence College

November 18 – 20, 2016

CHAS is proud to announce that Providence College will host the 16th Annual CHAS Black and Latino Male Conference.  Each year, the conference creates opportunities for intellectual engagement, networking and mentoring for participants during the weekend experience. In addition to individual leadership skill development, participants are given the tools and supports to create action plans to share with members of their respective campuses.  The Black and Latino Male Conference brings together students, faculty, administrators and thought leaders from across the nation to consider how to best facilitate the high achievement and success of our Black and Latino male students at institutions dedicated to liberal arts education.

This year’s conference theme is Hasta Cuando? (How Much Longer?) Lessons From History & Contemporary Struggles for Social, Political and Racial Justice.  We are excited to announce Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and Jose Antonio Vargas, as a highlighted speakers for this dynamic student-centered conference.  Please join us as CHAS partners with Providence College to lead higher education toward inclusive excellence by promoting the high achievement and success of men of color.
