Hi, my name is Grace Metry and I am a first year student at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. I grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI which is just outside the city of Detroit. I chose to attend Trinity because I was always interested in studying in a different part of the country than where I grew up, and the East Coast allows me to experience this different culture. With Trinity being such an academically rigorous school, I am becoming a much more determined and passionate person than when I first began. At Trinity, I am also able to pursue my goal of playing college volleyball as a Trinity Bantam. Being a student athlete helped me to develop a goal-oriented and a time conscientious character. Growing up in the sports world, I was surrounded by amazing coaches and teachers who shaped me into the person that I am today. I would love to be that person for children as they grow up because of the great experiences I had. After college, working with children is the ultimate goal for me. I think that the developmental time as a child is such an important time that being that type of impact is just as important. I am loving my time at Trinity right now and cannot wait for what the next three years have in store for me!
