Q#1:Sad Plot With a Possible Happy Twist

Before beginning to read The Fault In Our Stars, I immediately recognized that the book looked appealing to people of all ages. Between the clouds and the scribbled writing, the book looked generally easy going and happy. The bright blue cover and the “#1 New York Times Best Seller” highlighted in yellow attract me to this book and make me want to start reading right away. However, the ominous black cloud contrasted with the white cloud hints at a sad story plot with a possible happy and relieving twist. The title of the book suggests that there are predetermined and unchangeable faults in the lives of the characters in this story. Despite the flaws and faults presented in this story, the white cloud suggests that the person with faults or setbacks is able to still live life and possibly look past them. The title and the writing on the cover written in pencil font hint that the characters in the story are of younger ages. The quote written at the top of the cover contributes to the possible main theme of the story, which is that all faults and setbacks can be fought and conquered
