I find it funny that when snapchat came out it was considered a “girls” app, and many guys (myself included) were reluctant to download it. Now, it’s probably my number one social media outlet, and there is no shame in using the app.

i’m old enough that i don’t get snapchat (none of my friends use it; we all just text). i understand how it’s different from texting, but for most circumstances i don’t understand why those differences would be advantageous. explain?
Yeah Nate I agree with you. When it first came out, only girls at my school were using it with each and the guys only texted. Now, I probably use it more then most girls do.
The main advantage is how easily you can send a “picture message” because with texting it takes a long time and you need really good service. Also the story feature is cool because it allows you to project a snapshot of your day for your friends to see; I’ll use this when I’m coming home or to spread word about an event (etc)
