Even though Taylor Swift is considered to be one of the most powerful celebrities in the America right now, she gets a lot of flak for being a psycho dater with too much hype around her. Even though I think her voice is only average, I have almost all of her songs on Itunes and listen to them regularly. Most of my friends criticize the fact that she\u2019s a \u201cfake country singer\u201d and only popular among younger generations. While I definitely agree with them, I can\u2019t stop myself from listening to her highly catchy songs and relatable lyrics. Two days ago, her music video for the song \u201cBlank Space\u201d came out and people are already talking about how she has officially become a \u201cstage 5 clinger\u201d and a \u201cdelusional dater.\u201d In the video, she finds out that her \u201cboyfriend\u201d is texting another girl, so she proceeds to have a mental breakdown, destroying his nice car with a golf club and later on killing him by throwing vases and stabbing him with a knife. Not only do I find the song to be really good, but there is something I find extremely entertaining about her delusion in this video that makes me want to replay it a thousand times. I think, however, that this was Taylor Swifts goal in that most of the people criticizing the video are the ones watching it over and over again with their eyes glued to the screen.\u00a0I think that because of all the negative attention around Taylor Swift from people my age, I\u2019d have a hard time admitting I really like her; however, the negative attention won\u2019t stop me from listening to her addicting songs on repeat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
