He explained that the show, <i>Game of Thrones<\/i>, was a fantasy involving swords, dragons, and magic. I was skeptical at first, but agreed to watch the pilot episode, which had just aired that night.\u00a0To this day, I have watched every new episode of <i>Game of Thrones<\/i> live, which airs every Sunday night at 10pm when the show is in season. To say what it is that makes <i>Game of Thrones<\/i> my guilty pleasure is incredibly difficult because there are so many reasons. In short, I love <i>Game of Thrones <\/i>because of its groundbreaking cinematography, profound characters, and unpredictable plot twists that leave you utterly speechless. The plethora of awards the HBO series has received, from Emmys to Golden Globes, speaks to the brilliance of <i>Game of Thrones<\/i>. I have yet to watch a single episode that has not left me completely amazed, which is what I believe makes the series so special. From providing a panoramic view of a massive battle between two factions, or including the death of my two favorite characters within ten seconds of each other (something I am still trying to get over), every episode is packed with action.
