Or have you ever disobeyed the edict to &#8220;read the book first&#8221; before seeing the movie?<\/p>\n<p>When I rewatched the Celine Dion video (the official one, not the Oscars performance), I thought about that trend (maybe just a 90s thing?) of making a music video out of footage from the movie where the song appeared. That doesn&#8217;t happen with Elliott Smith&#8217;s song (and it&#8217;s hard to image him approving a montage of clips from <em>Good Will Hunting<\/em>). It reminds me of how books get re-issued when a new film version is release.
