The Psycholinguistics Lab typically has 2-5 students per semester who work as RAs (research assistants), mostly for academic credit at Trinity or other institutions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Below is a list of the kinds of duties RAs in the lab take on. If you&#8217;d be interested in becoming an RA, contact Dr. Casserly or fill out an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/psycholinguistics\/research-assistants\/application\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">application<\/span><\/a>! Positions are organized around the academic calendar: Fall semester, Spring semester, and summer. <strong>Indicate interest early<\/strong>, especially for summer &#8211; we can fill up fast!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Typical RA duties<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn to view, edit, and work with acoustic recordings<\/li>\n<li>Prepare stimuli (audio\/AV media) for use in experiments<\/li>\n<li>Administer experiments in the lab<\/li>\n<li>Recruit participants<\/li>\n<li>Read articles, books or manuscripts related to research being conducted in the lab<\/li>\n<li>Collect, analyze, and discuss experimental data<\/li>\n<li>Gather and present research findings to the lab group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Fill out an <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/psycholinguistics\/research-assistants\/application\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">application<\/span><\/a><\/strong> to indicate your interest in the lab!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working in a research laboratory is a unique experience that gives students insight to the scientific process, data collection and analysis, and the dissemination of experimental results.
