Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a formal Senior Thesis Seminar that carries with it 0.5 credits\/semester as acknowledgment of the work thesis students complete over the nine-month period.\u00a0 There are two parts to register for thesis writing:<\/p>\n

Econ 402 which is the Thesis Seminar \u2013 You need a PIN to register online<\/p>\n

Econ 498 which is the Thesis\u2013 Fill out a special registration form to be signed by your thesis advisor.<\/p>\n

Each student will receive two separate grades:\u00a0 one for the thesis seminar that I will assign and one for the Thesis that the faculty advisor will assign.<\/p>\n

Meeting Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of the seminar meetings is to provide guidance to thesis writers throughout the research process. The seminar will break down the research process into smaller steps like defining a research question or doing a literature review.\u00a0 It will also help you prepare for each of your presentations.\u00a0 The presentations can be a wonderful opportunity to discuss your work and receive helpful feedback.\u00a0 At the beginning of May you will participate in the final thesis presentations which represent the capstone activity in the year-long thesis program and which acknowledge the work you have done.\u00a0 It is your chance to present a major piece of work and share your findings with everyone. The dates and details of the meetings are as follows (draft to be updated)<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
