The 2012 NCAA Champion Bantams were ranked No. 1 in the nation every week of the year entering the NCAA Final Four and set a new College record with a 29-game\u00a0 winning streak from 2012 to 2013. Livesay, a four-time NESCAC Coach of the Year, was honored as the Trinity Athletic Department Coach of the Year at the College\u2019s end-of-year banquet. Senior tri-captain defender Mallory Hinman was selected as the Synapse Sports Division III National Defender of the Year, and senior tri-captain midfielder Megan Leonhard was named as both the Synapse Sports and the Intercollegiate Women\u2019s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Midfielder of the Year. The pair and senior attacker Kaitlin Hildebrand were each named as First-Team All-Americans, while senior attacker\u00a0 Hadley Duncan and sophomore midfielder Caroline Hayes each graced All-American Third Teams.<\/p>\n<p>Leonhard, who was also selected as the NESCAC Women\u2019s Lacrosse Player of the Year and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Offensive Player of the Year, joined Hildebrand and senior defender Hillary McNamara on the All-NESCAC First Team and<br \/>\njoined McNamara on the All-ECAC Team. Duncan, Hinman, and junior defender Lyndsey Shepard graced the All-NESCAC Second Team, and Duncan, Hayes, Hildebrand, Hinman,<br \/>\nLeonhard, and McNamara were also named to the IWLCA All-Regional First Team. Leonhard added the Trinity Club of Hartford Award as Trinity\u2019s top senior female athlete,<br \/>\nand Hinman earned a Bartlett Award for her combined excellence on the field and commitment to campus and\/or community service.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_713\" style=\"width: 192px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/reporter-fall2013\/files\/2013\/10\/Mlacrosse.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-713\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-713\" alt=\"Mlacrosse\" src=\"http:\/\/commons.trincoll.edu\/reporter-fall2013\/files\/2013\/10\/Mlacrosse.jpg\" width=\"182\" height=\"140\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-713\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Matt Cohen &#8217;13<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s Lacrosse<\/strong><br \/>\nTrinity\u2019s men\u2019s lacrosse team, led by third-year head coach Michael Higgins, finished the 2013 season with a 5-10 overall record and a 3-7 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). Senior midfielder Matt Cohen was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III All-American Honorable Mention, the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-New England Division III Second Team, and the All-NESCAC Second Team.
