MCGILL LECTURE SERIES<\/strong>
\nAnida Yoeu Ali, Patricia C. and Charles H. McGill III \u201963 Visiting Assistant Professor of International Studies, holds an audience of approximately 300 spellbound during her April 2016 presentation, \u201cTranscending the In-Between: A Lecture, Performance, and Visual Experience of Hybridity, Otherness, and Exiled Bodies.\u201d Here she performs the last part of a three-sequence act, \u201cPush,\u201d encouraging her audience to pelt her with 99 raw eggs. \u201cEggs essentially represent women,\u201d she explained. \u201cIn my world, women are heroes. \u201cThey are the duality of fragility and a target for hostility, particularly within the Muslim world.\u201d<\/p>\n
