Karly Simpson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Trinity College women\u2019s lacrosse team, coached by Katy Dissinger in her third season, posted a 17\u20135 overall record and finished tied with Colby, Hamilton, and Middlebury for first place in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with an 8\u20132 record in the league. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 13th time and the 11th year in a row, downing Tufts 19\u201310 in the opening round and Hamilton 12\u20133 in the semifinals at Middlebury before falling in the league finals against Colby at Middlebury 13\u20139. Trinity was selected for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the 13th time and the eighth consecutive spring, downing Babson 16\u20135, Franklin & Marshall 13\u201312, and York (Pennsylvania) 10\u20135 to reach the NCAA Final Four for the sixth consecutive spring before falling 8\u20134 against eventual champion Gettysburg in the semifinals at Roanoke College\u2019s Kerr Stadium. <\/p>\n

Clare Lyne<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bantam senior tri-captain attacker Clare Lyne<\/a> was named as the Intercollegiate Women\u2019s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Division III Attacker of the Year and joined Bantam junior goalkeeper Zoe Ferguson<\/a> and junior defender Clara Nowlan<\/a> on the IWLCA Division III All-American Teams. Lyne was named to the IWLCA All-American First Team, while Ferguson and Nowlan each graced the Second Team. The trio also joined Bantam junior attacker Kiley Coffey<\/a> on the IWLCA Division III All-Berkshire Region First Team, while senior tri-captain midfielder Karly Simpson<\/a> and junior attacker Abby McInerney<\/a> graced the IWLCA All-Berkshire Region Second Team. Lyne, Nowlan, and Ferguson also were named to the All-NESCAC First Team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
