The Bantams won their second consecutive NESCAC title with a 4\u20131 win against Tufts, a 4\u20132 victory against Williams at Hamilton, and a 3\u20132 win in overtime at Hamilton, qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the third year in a row. Trinity downed Plattsburgh State 4\u20131 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament and edged Endicott 2\u20131 in double overtime in the quarterfinals to reach the NCAA Division III Frozen Four in Utica, New York, for the second time in three seasons. Trinity defeated St. Norbert 3\u20132 in the semifinal round before falling 4\u20131 to Norwich in the finals to finish as the NCAA Division III national runner-up.\u00a0Trinity first-year defenseman\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/athletics.trincoll.edu\/sports\/mice\/2016-17\/bios\/FEENEY_LIAM\">Liam Feeney<\/a>\u00a0was named to 2016\u201317\u00a0United States College Hockey Online (USCHO.com) Division III Men\u2019s Ice Hockey National All-Rookie Team, while senior forward\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/athletics.trincoll.edu\/sports\/mice\/2016-17\/bios\/ORLANDO_SEAN\">Sean Orlando<\/a>\u00a0was selected for the New England Hockey Writers Division II\/III New England All-Star Team. Junior forward\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/athletics.trincoll.edu\/sports\/mice\/2016-17\/bios\/SABITSKY_ANTHONY\">Anthony Sabitsky<\/a> received All-NESCAC First Team honors, and Orlando graced the All-NESCAC Second Team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WOMEN\u2019S ICE HOCKEY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trinity\u2019s women\u2019s ice hockey team, led by Head Coach Keith Maurice in his second season, finished with a 9\u201313\u20133 overall record and in fourth place in the NESCAC with an 8\u20136\u20132 mark against the league.
