The 10 chosen start-ups exhibit a diverse range of health care technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), process automation, personalized medicine, and virtual health.<\/p>\n<p>The teams, selected from hundreds of start-ups by a selection committee that included Trinity President Joanne Berger-Sweeney, relocated to Hartford in November for the three-month accelerator program, which gave them the support, resources, and industry and investor connections they need to help grow their businesses. Sonia Cardenas, interim dean of the faculty and vice president for academic affairs, noted that the accelerator \u201cwill provide cutting-edge opportunities for our students, exposing them firsthand to the world of start-ups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Here\u2019s more about the 10 start-ups:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/companionmx.com\/\"><strong>CompanionMx<\/strong><\/a> uses AI algorithms to quantify clinically validated mental health symptoms.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ellipsis <\/strong>uses AI to improve behavioral health through the analysis of natural conversation.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearstep.health\/\"><strong>Clearstep<\/strong><\/a> matches symptom descriptions to the right points of care using the most accurate content available; provides recommendations that encompass price, network status, outcome ratings, and wait times; and makes it easy for patients to choose and schedule needed care.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encapsulate <\/strong>provides automated microfluidic systems for determining the most effective anti-cancer treatments based on a patient\u2019s specific genome and type of cancer.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdi.health\/\"><strong>MDI Health <\/strong><\/a>provides quick and intuitive access to up-to-date information regarding each patient and suggests a personalized medication treatment while taking into consideration how a medication \u201ccocktail\u201d is going to affect a specific patient.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrfertile.com\/\"><strong>QR Fertile<\/strong><\/a> offers a mobile-enabled, at-home diagnostic platform as a reproductive health and wellness solution for high-risk and subfertile men in their reproductive age.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.trincoll.edu\/news\/trinity-college-helps-select-final-10-startups-for-digital-health-ct-acceleration-program\/blank\"><strong>BrainCheck <\/strong><\/a>provides clinicians (neurologists and primary care doctors) with the ability to quickly, easily, and comprehensively assess patients\u2019 brain function and behavioral health comorbidities (e.g., depression, anxiety, addiction), as well as clinical decision support.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lineus Medical <\/strong>produces medical devices designed to eliminate harm associated with IV lines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DeepScribe <\/strong>uses AI plus natural language processing as it passively listens to the natural patient conversation and completes the documentation from the physician.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aiva <\/strong>uses voice assistance to increase efficiencies and improve satisfaction for patients and caregivers alike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Health CT, the new digital health (or medtech) accelerator run by&nbsp;Startupbootcamp, recently announced its inaugural cohort in Hartford.
