All positions start at $12/hr, except the Photographer, which starts at $15/hr.


Photographer

Event photographers make the backbone of the organization. They are the on-the-ground soldiers that make the magic happen. They are the ones that go to the events and capture them in all their splendor. Without them, we wouldn’t exist. Responsibilities include:

  • Attending all events that TCSP has been booked for (based on assignment)
  • Handing off images to retoucher for processing within 2 hours of the event’s end

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

  • At least 2 years amateur experience with photography of any kind, with a ready-to-show portfolio
  • Access to a DSLR camera and a variety of lenses
  • Attention to detail, focus on organization. Does not lose stuff
  • Punctuality

Retoucher

The retoucher is responsible for making sure the images taken by the photographers meet our high standards of quality. They have knowledge of what makes a photo look good, and can replicate it. They are computer-savvy and know their way around the newest versions of popular photo processing software

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing event photos with a delivery time of within 24 hours of event’s end
  • Working closely with the photographer at an event to ensure speedy transmission of images between the two parties
  • Working closely with the secretary to ensure that images are delivery to the client within specified time frames

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

  • Has at least one year of demonstrable experience in either Capture One Pro or Adobe Lightroom
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop CC is preferred, not required
  • Works well under pressure
  • Is aware of deadlines and looks forward to meeting them
  • Possesses good communication skills

Social Media Manager

The social media manager is responsible for promoting TCSP on the Internet, which involves ensuring that the organization is visible to enough other organizations on campus to ensure a consistent booking cycle. The social media manager knows how to be an influencer and is looking forward to sharing her expertise with the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regular updating of all social media feeds (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Working closely with Copywriter to create flyers to act as promotion for the organization

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

  • A large following and consistently updated personal social media feeds
  • Ability to take on multiple tasks at once
  • Understands optimal timing for social media posts

Website Administrator

The web admin is the man responsible for maintaining the TCSP website, and updating it consistently with finished images, as well as keeping it up to date with the latest information in the club. The website admin will also keep the website looking good, adhering to the latest design standards. It is imperative to have an eye for detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Uploading finished images from the server onto the website and organizing them chronologically
  • Consistent maintenance of the commons.trincoll.edu/tcsp website within the parameters of the WordPress installation
  • Communicating with the Trinity College STA office to ensure that the website is kept up to date and there is sufficient storage

The ideal candidate would have the following traits:

  • At least one year of experience with WordPress, Squarespace, or any other CMS
  • Has knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end development
  • Can juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Works well under pressure

Copywriter

Each organization needs stuff written down. This is what the copywriter is for. This position is responsible for making sure our contracts are up to date, that standard operating procedures are drafted, the constitution and mission statements are pithy, and that the website has good text on it (grammar, spelling, content, etc.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing contracts and emailing them to the Secretary to send to clients
  • Working with Accountant to draft invoices for payments
  • Writing copyright releases for completed projects
  • Writing standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring all copy is consistent with the needs and mission of the organization

The ideal candidate will have the following traits:

  • Experience drafting contracts of any variety
  • Can juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Can work under pressure and with quick deadlines

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for communicating with our clients, which includes ensuring bookings, sending out complete images and copyright releases, and ensuring that the contracts and payments have cleared.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sending out contracts for clients to sign
  • Sending out final images to client after payments have been cleared (together with Accountant)
  • Sending out copyright releases and invoices
  • Following up with clients
  • Communicating with the rest of the team regarding availability for bookings
