Every November, Trinity students run a Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive to provide a Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all of the trimmings to 100 families of children at a local school. Organized by the Trinity College Annual Community Events Staff (ACES), students collect canned goods and monetary donations, purchase turkeys through Chartwells, then shop for the remaining items to be added to each basket. This year, the group raised over $4,800, including $3,000 from the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), in support of the drive, which provided meals to families at St. Augustine School in Hartford.
