Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist and activist, KRS-One (which stands for “Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone”), the headline performer at the 2010 Trinity International Hip Hop Festival, stuck around for an extra day to give a lecture to students at Gallows Hill.  KRS-One (a.k.a. “The Teacha”) talked about the origins of hip-hop, it’s role in society as a journalistic device, as well as the importance of knowledge.  For a photo gallery on the hip-hop festival with photos by Zachary Epstein ’10, visit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/trinitycollege/sets/72157623863283776/
