“Global Hartford” captures the experiences of Trinity College Faculty and Students in a wide range of initiatives organized  to explore the contributions of Immigrants and Refugees from all over the world to the life of the city.  Many of these projects are linked to Professor Bauer’s participatory action research engaging her students in research and volunteer work with refugees and immigrants in the greater Hartford area. We are beginning to explore in more detail the regional and global connections of newcomer families, contrasting life in Hartford with that of their friends and family in other New England cities.  The site also includes links to a variety of organizations and resources that facilitate the incorporation of immigrants and refugees and the realization of human rights protections in the resettlement process..
