HPL offers a variety of services for immigrants and refugees–from ESL and Citizenship classes to specialized workshops and projects like youth mentoring, civic engagement and the “cultural navigators” program (pairing newcomers with other residents) and an immigrant advisory board consisting of newcomers and service providers.  Hartford’s Commission on Refugee and Immigrant Affairs grew out of the HPL’s immigrant advisory board initiatives.  https://www.hplct.org/library-services/immigration-citizenship
