Welcome to the website of the Trinity College Chemistry Department, the home department of the Chemistry and Biochemistry majors.  Here you can find all the information about our department, whether you are a prospective student looking to apply to Trinity, a current Trinity student looking for instruction on how to declare the Chemistry or Biochemistry majors, or a Trinity alumni/alumnae looking to reconnect with a former teacher.

The Trinity Chemistry Department prides itself on a personal approach to learning.  We offer small classes where you get to know your professor and your professor gets to know you.

Our curriculum provides a solid emphasis in all areas of chemistry:  analytical, biological, inorganic, physical and organic.  It also emphasizes independent, critical thinking.

We encourage and support students to undertake research, both during the academic year and the summer months, and we allow students to start doing research as early as their first year at Trinity.  The Trinity Chemistry Department also possesses and operates an impressive collection of modern instruments for chemical analysis, and our students get hands-on experience with these instruments in their courses and in their research.

The tabs on your right will lead you to all the information you may want or need to know about our department.  If you do not find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact any faculty member (either by email or by telephone).  We will be glad to help.

The Chemistry Department also hosts a Facebook page that contains photos and announcements of current happenings in the department.
