Chip’s Restaurant – Orange, CT

If you ask anyone in town, “Where’s the best place for pancakes?”, you will get the same response every time. Chip’s Restaurant has been a landmark in Orange, Connecticut over a decade and is a staple for restaurant goers in the local area. Since its success in Orange, it has expanded to locations in Trumbull, Fairfield, and Wethersfield CT. Chip’s is a classic New England local shop in Orange, CT.

Chip’s has all types of breakfast foods and serves throughout the entire day. It is famous for their pancakes and it’s welcoming for customers to “bring your own beverage”. The store owner since 2003, George Chatzopoulos (Georgie) has embraced the local American restaurant style at Chip’s. Chip’s has influence in the local school system as well becoming a sponsor for fundraising for team’s and group’s in the Orange elementary and Amity High school system. Chip’s sponsored my sister’s high school Track and Field team last year and gave all profits to the team for fundraising. Chip’s Restaurant is related to Global Cities, Local Streets because it highlights the importance of local restaurants and their influence on the host town. Chip’s has grown into one of the most important eateries in the area and continues to be an important influence on local students and families.
