Implementation of Intentions

What is implementations of intentions training?

Participants are given weekly planners from Monday to Sunday through 8:00am to 9:00pm. Each section is labeled with a personal goal per hour to accomplish a task. Each completed task is recorded as well as a daily to-do list.

Participants are given tasks to perform for establishing cues. Each task is asking an “If” and “then” statement. An example is “If you give me a red pen, then I will sign my name.”. The scoring system based on the completion of the task. Each participant is given a word search puzzle as time passes so the participants focus isn’t entirely on the time. The commands in bold and the left column indicates the time each command is said to the examinee. The rating scale is from 0 to 2. The score 0 indicates no completion of the task, the score of 1 indicates either no remembers of the task or the incorrect time but the remembrance of the other, and a score of 2 indicates correct task completion and time.
