When Jack Dougherty was a CTL Fellow in 2012-13, he set out to develop a collection of essays devoted to the teaching of writing using web-based tools. Over the course of that year and beyond, his project developed into Web Writing: Why and How for Liberal Arts Teaching and Learning. After an open peer review, this volume—co-edited by Jack and Trinity’s own Tennyson O’Donnell, and featuring work by two dozen contributors—has just been published by the University of Michigan Press as a free e-book and a print edition. (Print editions are expected to begin shipping in June.)
The book garnered its first review on the very day of its release, from the Mellon-funded Digital Pedagogy initiative at Austin College, TX: Mo Pelzel, “Web Writing: Why and How for Liberal Arts Teaching and Learning,” Digital Pedagogy@Austin College, April 16, 2015.
