My name is Sydney Elizabeth Olstein and I am 18 years old. I am a straight, white female who comes from a family with two loving parents. I have been fortunate to have an incredible education, where I was able to delve into my passions and never feel ashamed to ask questions in what I’m interested in. In the last few years I have learned that the thing I am most interested in is Spanish, and all cultures affiliated. I am absolutely in love with learning about the traditions and cultures of people who are so different from myself. I am an active learner and have a huge interest in Hartford and its residents. I want to learn what they learn every day, and the politics of living in one of the cities with the greatest economic disparity from the rest of the state. I want to understand these things so I can help.
