The Martinez Lab studies sex differences in motivated behaviors. Specifically, our work focuses on how endocrine and environmental factors influence the development and progression of drug addiction and socio-cognitive functioning. Our lab employs a multi-level approach to studying addiction, including rodent models of addiction-related behaviors, neuropharmacology, and histological techniques.
