I chose to do my most recent 3,000 tweets available. They go back as far as March, 21. I chose these tweets because of all the recent news with Trump and his administration. I also wanted to see if the meaning or use of #alternativefacts has changed at all since it first started being used. I think this extraction will gather the most data because it is collecting the more tweets than the other three. There are 77 nodes and 254 edges. We should do undirected graph because it shows communication between various people and then their connection to each other. It shows who talks to who and how they compare to others who talk to similar people.Screen Shot 2017-03-27 at 11.08.31 AM

Most of the conversations in this were directly Trump related. More often than not they were punishing words. So far, this continues to meet expectations. They are are from strictly current times. This was also expected.

Almost all of the tweets are calling for reforms or changes that are quite common in current issues. Most of the conversations are between those involved in current politics. There are also a good amount of tweets from those still outraged with the outcome of the election. There are not as many tweets that are continuing on in conversation. Most of them are people responding to these tweets without a rebuttal back.

  1. It’s great that you are able to pin down the issues people are talking about and represent them with your graph It looks pretty interesting, definitely different from mine. I’m also interested in the fact that you are seeing so many people outraged. I’m curious about more details of your hashtag.
